DESCRIPTION

About Shero

Shero Commerce, a full-service, global eCommerce agency based in the New York Hudson Valley, is looking for an experienced front end developer with a passion for eCommerce technology.

With offices in New York, London, and Tirana, we are an international team of eager and driven eCommerce experts. Since 2010, Shero has been building custom eCommerce websites for merchants everywhere, including renowned brands like The New York Times, The Guggenheim Museum, and Primitives By Kathy.

Your Position

As a Shero front end developer, you’ll work closely with our design, development, and project management teams to bring UI design concepts, wireframes, and mock-ups to life. You’ll use your creative and meticulous eye for detail and expert-level skills in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, and Javascript every day. Experience with Magento and WordPress front end experience is a must; experience with other ecommerce technologies (like Shopify or BigCommerce) is a major bonus as well as frontend Frameworks (React or Vue).

If you:

  • Have plenty of Magento and WordPress experience,
  • Have experience with modern FE stack, NodeJS, NPM, Yarn, ReactJS, RequireJS, SASS etc,
  • Understand web technologies and performance and start performance first,
  • Know that mobile-first is a way of life, not a bolt on later,
  • Are responsible and ambitious, with high goals for yourself,
  • Are a curious constant learner who gets a kick out of challenging your own thinking,
  • Have a good grasp of when to defend and when to be flexible,
  • Put the same effort into improving existing client sites as you do into brand new builds,
  • Think “good enough” never is,
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, highly flexible environment, with plenty of variety and complexity in your work,
  • Can manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly, keeping yourself organized and prioritized,
  • Prefer a team-oriented environment and actively seek out peer input (think orchestra, not rock star),
  • Consider whether what is being built adds value to the site, suits performance UX, and is the right thing to build (vs the thing we have to build),
  • Constantly learning and exploring, and have a desire and passion for learning,

… then you should apply ASAP!

This is a full time, salaried role, open immediately. For this position, candidates must be in the US permanently. You can either work remotely on a permanent basis, or work remotely until Spring 2021 and then transition to working on site at our Hudson Valley headquarters (slated to open late Q1 or early Q2).
