World Wide Technology, Inc. has opportunities for enthusiastic Software Engineers to join our highly collaborative remote working community. Our remote workers work alongside others throughout the day utilizing a variety of online collaboration tools for communication, code collaboration and screen sharing. Candidates will be responsible for the analysis of business, engineering, and scientific problems, and the documentation and development of well-defined methods, procedures, and programs in the delivery of practical systems solutions. This includes detailed software design, developing code with unit tests to implement the design, correcting flaws based on requirements testing, and integrating the applications.­­

Qualifications

The following knowledge skills and attributes are required:

Minimum of 2 years of professional experience using JavaScript.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Proven Node.js development experience creating RESTful APIs that can deliver JSON or XML content.
Proven development experience using a modern front end framework such as: React.js, ReactNative, Angular 1/2 or Ember.js.
Experience with the automated build process (continuous integration) and source code version control tools (GIT and/or SVN).
Hands-on experience in at least one of the following JavaScript testing frameworks: Protractor, Jasmine, Jest, Mocha, Chai, or Sinon.
Detailed knowledge of JavaScript concepts such as callbacks, closures, and promises.
Experience using software development processes such as TDD, pair programming and other XP practices.
Experience with multiple operating systems including Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows.
Ability to work in an agile environment.
Critical thinker with the ability to breakdown complex technical requirements.
Familiar with data sources such as MongoDB, Redis, MySQL or SQL Server.
Be willing to work on a variety of project types (Desktop, Web, Mobile) and programming languages (JavaScript, C#, Java, Kotlin, Swift, Erlang, Python, etc.) as needed.
Able to support occasional domestic travel (up to ~10%) in support of project related activities which often include project kickoffs, releases, meetings, and training. Additional travel may be required for new hires for employee onboarding activities. Travel is most often to client sites or to our facilities.

The following knowledge skills and attributes are preferred:

Experience with other development languages.
Experience with Service Oriented Architecture technologies and/or implementations.
Experience with HTML and DOM manipulation using JavaScript or Single Page Applications.
